We are passionate about our venture, a boutique family-owned business in Vanuatu that started our as a casual eatry specialising in local food in 1999.
In the course of running Lapita (which caught the attention of travel guide book and also Lapita contributed to the Me’akai: The Food and Flavours of the South Pacific’s Cook Book which won the “World’s Best Cook Book for 2010). We saw a need for value added food products made from local island ingredients.
Today, our bustling kitchen is doing just that- finding new uses for traditional ni-Vanuatu produce and in turn, fostering a positive economic change. Purchasing a product from Lapita contributes to Vanuatu’s grass roots farmers and communities
